If you want to be sneaky about it, you can use social media as a tool to aid your breaking up scheme. If you're a close couple, no doubt you'll know their FB log in details. Or at least know that their feed is open on their phone all the time. Take the coward's way out: log in while they're out of the room, change their FB status from 'In a relationship' to 'Single', and quickly leave the premises. Turning your phone off will only prolong the inevitable, and if you live together, this tactic probably isn't going to work. But if you're immature enough to break up with someone this way, chances are you're still living at home with your parents. The sympathetic messages from friends will come swamping in to the person whose heart you just broke, and after repeatedly trying to contact you and getting absolutely nothing, the truth will eventually hit home. Good luck to you, oh evil person, should you ever bump into this particular ex again - because they'll certainly have a few questions for you.
