1. Artie Lange's Nose
During episode #1376, comedian, and longtime alcohol and drug abuser, Artie Lange, retells the story of what happened to his nose - with it being visibly different from earlier photographs. Artie begins the story by saying, first of all, thirty years of drug abuse didn’t do his nose any favours.
On top of that, he had an altercation with a nineteen-year-old debt collector on the streets of New York, who parked his fist on the bridge of Artie’s nose.
From there, Artie recounts a time he was seeing a woman from Boston. Their relationship consisted of intimacy and sniffing oxycodone - a winning combination, clearly. While Artie was taking a shower, his lover prepared the drugs by crushing them with a glass salt shaker. A little bit overzealous with her prep work, the woman broke the salt shaker, and now glass was mixed in with the oxy.
Artie came out of the bathroom, saw the prepped drugs, and helped himself to a line while the woman had gone out to get something. Unbeknownst to Artie, he had sniffed finely broken glass and after hearing a zipper sound, his nose bled profusely. Gradually, his nose dissolved.
