3. The Woman In The Snow

Have you ever had a nightmare that felt so real you'd swear you were never asleep to begin with? That's the feeling 'The Woman in the Snow' captures to an uncomfortable degree.

A man in Norway taking a friendly stroll through the woods finds himself in a bit of a pickle when he encounters a strange naked woman with a nasty case of frostbite. From there, things take a turn as he must find a way to survive both the elements of nature and whatever the hell is stalking him.

That summary may sound pretty basic, but don't let it fool you, 'The Woman in the Snow' is down right chilling (pun very much intended). The titular woman could be hiding around anywhere waiting for the perfect chance to strike. This causes the paranoia inside the protagonist and reader to build with each line as it begins to feel more and more like she's enjoying the hunt in the same way a cat would with a mouse.

This unfortunate situation the unnamed man has found himself in truly reads like a nightmare as he begins to lose all sense of time and space. The only thing he knows for sure is that he has to try and find some way to escape, a task far easier said than done considering his growing exhaustion and the unfamiliar territory he's lost in.

Survival horror at its purest.
