Roche Braziliano was a Dutch pirate who was known for terrorizing the Spanish. His real name is unknown, but he was given the name Braziliano because he spent a great deal of time exiled in Brazil.

Early in his career, he was captured by the Spanish. The Dutchman would escape and swear vengeance, which suggests he wasn't treated particularly well while incarcerated.

Braziliano made good on his threat toward his previous captor's countrymen and was extremely brutal with any Spaniard he came in contact with. He was known for slicing off his prisoners' limbs and then proceeding to set them on fire. When two Spanish farmers refused to give him their pigs, the pirate decided to burn them alive on a pair of wooden splints. Braziliano enjoyed a good drink and threatened to shoot those who didn't want to share one with him.

In 1671, the ruthless pirate mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again.
