10 Problems Only People From Sydney Will Understand

12. Partying At Kings Cross Is Overrated

The first thing you will notice when you enter Sydney's infamous King's Cross area is the iconic giant Coca-Cola billboard that serves as a welcome sign to all party-goers. It's all downhill from there though.

Most nightclubs require an overpriced cover charge just to get in, nearly every place is so crowded and noisy that it is nearly impossible to move or to carry a decent conversation, the streets very quickly descend into a mess of fast food, vomit, and incredibly drunk people, and you run risk of getting your face punched in if you so much as look at some drugged up drunkard the wrong way.

Outside of getting ridiculously drunk, starting up a fight (which isn't difficult), and chomping down on some 2AM kebabs, King's Cross doesn't really have much going for it.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
