4. At Least She's Still Putting Out Content
A number of authors have been criticised over the past few years for failing to produce content. Given how passionate fans of the fantasy genre can be, such a response is understandable.
The most obvious example is George R.R. Martin. Though he’s contributed several scripts to Game of Thrones and has continued to add to his world by publishing several books on the history of Westeros, the last main entry in A Song of Ice and Fire was back in 2011.
Patrick Roffuss has similarly failed to publish the third book in the Kingkiller Chronicle. As with A Song of Ice and Fire, the last entry was also in 2011, and some fantasy fans believe that Roffuss will never finish his trilogy.
Rowling, on the other hand, has continued giving fans plenty of content. Though some of her newer material has received criticism, at least there’s something there to criticise.
