10 Reasons To Visit Hollywood Forever Cemetery (Before You're Dead)
3. Only The Good Die Young
Hollywood has a long, well-publicized history of talented performers dying young. Tragically, Anton Yelchin recently joined that list.
Yelchin was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia, on 11 March 1989. His parents, Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, were accomplished professional figure skaters and emigrated to the United States when Anton was six months old.
After his family settled in California, Yelchin caught the acting bug early and quickly attracted the notice of casting directors in Los Angeles. In 2000, he made his TV debut on television, appearing in the medical drama hit series, ER.
The following year he landed the role of Bobby Garfield, co-starring opposite Anthony Hopkins in Hearts of Atlantis. His critically acclaimed performance led to a slew of feature films and television productions, including the role of Pavel Chekov in Star Trek reboot in 2009 and its sequel Star Trek: Into Darkness.
Yelchin died on 19 June 2016. He was 27.
