10 Secret Alien Bases Around The World

3. Kapustin Yar

Here's a freebie for all the budding science fiction authors out there: a Cold War fought between the East and the West, with both of them utilising UFO technology they've found independently of each other, kept a secret from the world, and then exploited. Like an ancient alien conflict playing itself out on Earth as well as beyond the stars. Pretty good, huh? It's also not far from the truth, or so some conspiracy theories would have you believe. The only country in the world that has America beat for shadowy military bases and ethically troubling practises is Russia, and it's the Kasputin Yar base in the west of the country that's the most likely candidate as a secret alien base. After all, it's Kasputin Yar where missile and rocket development happened in the forties, and is rumoured to be the launch site of Sputniks 1 and 2. It's one of the most secure, secretive military bases in the world, and guess what €“ it sits in an area that's a hotbed for UFO sightings. Sightings over a period of decades. Coincidences aren't real, right?
