6. Waves

Over at Waturi Beach, Volcano Bay's huge wave pool you can relax or you can face the waves that crash onto the beach. The warm waters are generally calm, but approximately every 20 minutes the gong sounds and the waves begin.

To the left of the Volcano you can see a round dial, this tells you just what to expect from the waters below. When it's calm you'll see the boats of the Waturi, indicating smooth sailing waters. When the dial shows multiple small waves it's telling you that there are rough, choppy seas. The symbol with one huge wave is to let you know to expect rolling waves.

So when you hear the gong chime, take a look to see if it's all plain sailing at Waturi Beach.
