6. Awkward Bathroom Conversations

This is most prevalent and acute when at work, or in some other social situation where you wish to maintain polite conversation at all times, rather than allow an uncomfortable silence to creep in. All logic seems to fly out of the window when you end up in the bathroom taking a pee at the same time as a colleague/similar. Unless you both know each other well, there seems to be no solution to this where you both come out the other side moderately unashamed. Option one: Both of you continue your discussion through the cubicle walls. Benefits to this is that this masks the the sound of your steady stream of wee, but challenges are that it can be difficult to keep up conversation when you are struggling to pull up your jeans. Option two: Neither of you talk. You both linger there in uncomfortable silence while you mutually empty your bladders. Let's never speak of this again. Option three: One of you talks away, desperately attempting to lessen their own sense of self-consciousness, but in the process are slowly dying inside, unable to even see the other party to check whether this is what they want. The male equivalent of this would be talking at the urinals - am I right, lads?
