Okay... so this might not strictly be a thing that indicates your oncoming journey into 'turning-into-my-mother-hood', because with the amount of TV chefs available out there, there's someone out there for every taste, but it's definitely something strongly associated with the maturing and evolving tastes that come from starting to become like your mother. Maybe it's because our tastes are moving away from 'cute for the evening' to 'oh my God they could cook me a whole meal and I want that more than anything'. TV chefs fill a special niche in television crushes - they spend all their time physically handling food, transforming it into a work of art. In short, they're managing to make you both hungry, and extremely flushed at their attractiveness. You watch every episode of 'Great British Bake Off' at least twice to 'check the recipe techniques' or re-watch Tom Kerridge or Rachel Allen's shows enough times that your TV keeps asking if you want to series link the lot of them.
