10 Things That Happen In Every Joe Rogan Experience Episode
5. You'll Learn That He Killed It At The Comedy Store The Other Night
Joe Rogan's history with the California comedy club known as The Comedy Store is a long and interesting one.
Joe first started performing at the club during the mid-90s, after his career had taken off thanks to the success of the NBC sitcom NewsRadio, playing Joe Garelli, a character bearing several similarities to Joey Tribbianni from the hugely popular Friends series.
Despite his on-screen success, Rogan continued performing stand-up comedy as his primary profession, though he would be unceremoniously banned from The Comedy Store in 2007, after he confronted fellow comedian Carlos Mencia on-stage, accusing Mencia of joke stealing - a cardinal sin in comedy circles.
However, in 2013 Rogan returned to The Comedy Store with his profile larger than ever and has remained there ever since.
Joe regularly discusses his feelings about the current comedy situation at the Store, calling it a "golden age" for comedians and regularly espousing his belief that the level of talent featured at the club has never been higher.
