10 Things We Learned From Miley Cyrus On The Joe Rogan Experience
3. What It Was Like For Miley Growing Up Famous
Though a ton of people would likely give anything to have had the life and career Miley Cyrus has had in her 27 years on the planet, it hasn't always been a fun, easy going journey for the household name.
When the youngster was in her peak-Hannah Montana period, Cyrus stated that she worked every single day. However, there was a moment when she came home to her father and he almost didn't allow her back on the road due to how skinny she'd become.
Accompanied by her grandmother and mother, Cyrus would travel from arena to arena at the ridiculous age of just 14 and still had to find time for school in the morning. This on the road teaching and living meant that she largely grew up without any real friends.
As time went by and the singer grew older, though, she did start to socialise more but often found it difficult to relate to people her age who hadn't lived a similar life to her. But she then felt guilty and like she was being shallow when she thought about only surrounding herself with people of a certain 'level'.
It may sound like a laughable first world problem to some, but it definitely sounds like a headache trying to surround yourself with normal folk who actually understand what it's like to play to thousands of people on stage at a seriously young age.
