10 Things We Want To See From Joe Rogan Experience On Spotify
7. Give Fans Some Way To Interact
Whatever your views on the YouTube comment section are, it's hard to deny that while, of course, some people are on their solely to spread negativity, there are few better places to discuss a particular podcast than right beneath it on the same site. Even something as basic as a commenter adding timestamps can prove extremely helpful in finding relevant parts of a long conversation.
This is particularly true for JRE fans who like to go back into the archives and watch old episodes of the show, where the comment section offers something of a time capsule of how both Joe and the guest were received at the time, and often how that contrasts how they are viewed today.
Currently, Spotify does not have a section for community discussion for podcasts, and have made no indication that they intend to add one in the future. While the removal of much of the outright hostility in the comments will make many breathe a sigh of relief, the JRE prides itself on free expression and fans deserve an avenue to let their feelings be heard.
