10 Things We Want To See From Joe Rogan Experience On Spotify
6. Make Sure It Is Hosted On A Good Video Player
One of the things that raised eyebrows upon the announcement of the Spotify deal was that of video streaming.
After all, the absolute optimal way to enjoy the JRE is in video format, so the fact that Spotify didn't even have a video player for podcasts at the time was probably more than a little unnerving for loyal JRE fans.
However, it is worth noting that in a statement the Swedish music streaming giant has announced that it currently in the process of testing a video player for podcasts on mobile devices for over half its userbase, and reviews so far seem positive. What remains to be seen though, is whether JRE fans will want to watch the podcast from a player inside an app, particularly if it doesn't prove to be reliable in the long run.
This is a relatively easy fix, but an absolutely crucial one to ensure that the show maintains its popularity after migrating onto the new platform.
