10 Things We Want To See From Joe Rogan Experience On Spotify

2. Return To Live Shows

To many fans, one of the most disappointing changes in the history of the podcast was the decision to no longer air episodes live.

After all, the very inception of the JRE initially came as a way for Joe to interact with his fans live, with the show being broadcast on Ustream, and later YouTube, before ultimately switching to a prerecorded format in 2019.

Joe never gave a concrete answer as to exactly why the switch was made but many speculated that YouTube's often capricious nature towards policing the use of copyrighted material had led Rogan to decide to pre-tape episodes.

With Spotify, many of these restrictions will no longer be in place, which should hopefully open to door for the return of real-time episodes of the JRE. However, anyone expecting the return to live shows shouldn't hold their breath just yet, as Spotify does not currently host live streaming and it remains to be seen whether they will add it as part of their push to become one of the world's leading podcasting platforms.
