6. Goofy Was The Mascot For Walt Disney World's First Water Park
Goofy used to be the official mascot for River Country, the first water park on Disney property.
Located just around the corner from Magic Kingdom on Bay Lake, River Country was a rustic styled water park.
The park opened in 1976 and ran into many problems from over crowding to dangerous amoeba. River Country closed forever in 2001 and was left to decay.
