2. It Pays Homage To Closed Attractions
Fans of the Walt Disney World version of the ride can expect to see a few easter eggs when they walk through the queue areas.
The sign you spot early on gives a nod to other Space Mountain attractions from around the world. There's a nod to some of the attractions that have closed at the Magic Kingdom in the closed sectors panel:
FL-MTWR stands for Fantasyland, Mr. Toad's Wild RideTL-SK2FL stands for Tomorrowland, Skyway to FantasylandMSU-SB stands for Main Street USA, Swan BoatsFL-MMR stands for Fantasyland, Mickey Mouse RevueTL-M2M stands for Tomorrowland, Mission to Mars
