2019’s Fighting with My Family was that rarest of things: a WWE-associated film project that was much-loved by critics and general audiences alike. Capable performances from Florence Pugh, Nick Frost, and Vince Vaughn, as well as direction from Stephen Merchant are all rightly praised, but it is the source material, Paige’s rise to queen of women’s wrestling from her humble origins on the UK independent scene, that really made the movie so good.

Not unusually for this kind of film, some creative license was used to streamline the story, and certain developments were cut in order to make the the narrative flow in the time allotted, so many would therefore be interested to see exactly where fact meets fiction in a longer conversation.

Further talking points could include Paige’s stance against malicious hackers, and openness regarding the serious mental and physical health issues caused by intimate leaked photos and videos, and transition to life outside the ring following a series of injuries.
