10 WWE Stars We Need To See On The Joe Rogan Experience
7. Kurt Angle
Joe Rogan loves a gnarly injury.
Much of his discussion with ‘Taker revolved around the semi-reconstructed nature of the Deadman, and his series of wrestling-induced tears and breaks. Few can rival the WWE veteran in this regard, but if anyone can, it’s the American Hero, Kurt Angle.
In addition to this, a clear theme of JRE has been triumph against adversity in whatever form. This has pretty much been the story of Angle’s life, from excelling as a massively undersized amateur wrestler, to then fighting his way to the top of a professional wrestling industry that he was not initially keen on, to successful battles against alcohol and opiate addictions not helped by the physical trauma he had been willing to put himself through.
Rogan clearly has a lot to learn about Angle, recently asking how Steve Austin managed to win Olympic wrestling gold with a broken neck. It would be fascinating to see a non-wrestling fan’s reaction to hearing the unbelievable Kurt Angle story in full for the first time.
