11 Random Objects That Turned Their Owners Into Millionaires
5. Antique 'TV Stand'
Found: Lounge Value: £6,300,000 This intricately carved wooden chest was being used by a family as a television stand for years. The London-based family were completely unaware that they had been resting their TV on an antique Japanese chest that had been 'lost' since 1941. Only ten of these chests exist in the world, and this particular chest is considered to be in the best condition. The chest itself was by the legendary Japanese master craftsman Kaomi Nagashige for the Dutch East Indie Company, making it an object of important historical significance. It was valued at £200,000, but bought by Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum for an incredible £6.3 million.
