11 Things You Didn't Know About Frances Bean Cobain
7. She Nearly Played Alice In Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland...
Sometime between the journalists, the modelling and the artistry, Frances was getting approached to do film work. Much like her father in the years leading up to his death, Hollywood studios had noticed that Frances had a strong and confident look, and carried the Cobain brand that would help any film it was attached to. The peak of these offers though was from the creator of Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton. Having been briefly introduced to Frances at an event sometime in 2008, Burton made her his number one choice to play the role of Alice in his upcoming adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Cobain declined though, choosing instead to focus on her education by attending Manhattan's Bard College to study art.
