4. James Joyce (1922) - "No, It Did Lots Of Other Things Too"
In 1922, Irish novelist and poet James Joyce - best known for his work "Ulysses" - was travelling through Switzerland and visiting Zurich when he was greeted by some fans of his work. An extremely-keen young man walked up to him and asked: "May I kiss the hand that wrote Ulysses?" Joyce looked back at him, smiled and then said:
"No, it did lots of other things too."
There's nothing like good, old-fashioned honesty, is there?
