Despite what many people believe, the first cartoon to star Mickey Mouse was not Steamboat Willie but actually Plane Crazy.
The short was created a whole year before Steamboat Willie but as no one would distribute the film, it ended up being pushed back and was eventually released as the 4th movie in Mickey Mouse's legacy.
Mickey wasn't such a mild mannered star in this short. He tries to force Minnie to kiss him, even trying to scare her into doing so. When he finally tries to make her kiss him, Minnie slaps him in the face and jumps out of the plane. She uses her bloomers to parachute safely to the ground.
Good to see that Mickey's behaviour has gotten better over the years.
