12 Times Adolf Hitler Has Been Totally Owned In Fiction
8. Superman: At Earth's End
Captain America wasn't the only superhero who made a habit of slapping Hitler around on his covers; Superman likewise did his part with some racially-insensitive propaganda of his own to raise spirits on the homefront, as seen above. But that's not what we're looking at with this entry. In fact, Superman's most famous encounter with Hitler didn't even involve him using any of his superpowers, save for maybe a bit of his renowned strength. Instead, he used... a gun? In a far-flung alternate future, a more-or-less depowered Superman is visiting what remains of Gotham City when he encounters not one, but two twin clones of Adolf Hitler. His way to handle the problem? A ridiculously 90's piece of equipment known as "the Expunger." Yeah, it did the job alright. To be frank, it's not a very good story. But the moment? For good or ill, it's hard to deem it anything other than memorable.
