12. Customers Blaming Tesco For Plastic Bag Charge
The UK government's decision to charge 5p per plastic bag is not exclusive to Tesco, but the company were one of the first to advertise the scheme, apparently designed to make people more conscious of the damage plastic can cause to the environment (never mind all those fuel emissions, eh? That was so last year!). Perhaps due to Tesco being used by millions daily, the company has received widespread complaints. Just try and offer one of the 10p 'Bags For Life' instead of a regular bag, and you'll be met with a look so harmful you'll feel like pulling one of them over your head.
