No matter how many stickers that biro has on it claiming to be yours, it will mysteriously vanish into the hand of someone else who has no recollection of how it even got there. "It's just a pen" they'll say. No, it isn't 'just a pen'. This is your pen and it's your favourite and you want that one. It's not being childish, it's more of a territory thing, and once they smell the hint of weakness, they'll walk all over you. Next time, it won't be your pen that they steal, it'll be your lunch and eventually your shoes.
