Although we can still get our nightly fix of Friends on satellite TV, it has been ten years since that fateful last episode. Friends is one of those timeless shows that even the re-runs attract millions of viewers, almost like a visual comfort blanket. Though it was probably a good thing it ended back in 2004 as it was steadily losing momentum towards series 10 and gags like "Joey doesn't share food!" and episodes such as The One Where The Stripper Cries and The One With The Late Thanksgiving ode more to second-rate shows like spin-off Joey, and added nothing fresh to the story. During its 10 year reign, the six New Yorkers became everyone's friends: we all shed a tear when Phoebe and Mike tied the knot and when Mondler were told they couldn't have kids and when U2 played in the background amidst Ross and Rachel's breakup, and the show's huge quote library is still in constant usage. And now, Monica and Chandler's twins will be turning ten this year, Emma will be 11 and the triplet's will be 16 while cute little Ben will be 19. Now that's depressing.
