The history of the choker is kind of noble, in a way, for these were originally worn by women in sixteenth-century France during the revolution. All in the name of solidarity with those that lost their noodles at the guillotine. Track forward some five-hundred years and they were then being repped by trendy types from all walks of life; from goth kids all the way to Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Although a bugger to wear, this fashion piece is slowly but surely coming back into fashion. Via la revolution, indeed.
