14. Crinolines

Reign: 19th Century Before ass implants, there were crinolines. They were made from horse hair and steel and were formed in the shape of a cage, which women would wear under their skirts, to boost what God gave them underneath. Unfortunately, they were tremendously dangerous and were the cause for many a woman dying in what would otherwise be called "freak accidents". Some were swept up and carried out to sea where they drowned (perhaps having a steel cage tied to your waist is not the best way to swim), others knocked over candles that set churches and ballrooms on fire and others would fall off cliffs. Which seems a ridiculous price to pay for a bigger posterior.
