5. James Bond Drinks Vodka Martinis (Shaken, Not Stirred)
Its the most famous drink, and one of the most famous lines in cinema history Bonds favourite tipple is common knowledge.
Is it, though? Ian Fleming, creator of the suave, slightly sociopathic Mr. Bond, would disagree, as would the findings of a study that combed the novels and short stories, detailing every alcoholic beverage that the man consumed: a herculean task, given that 007 was apparently a raging alcoholic, downing a piece of booze, on average, every seven pages of prose. In total, he drank three hundred and seventeen (317) alcoholic drinks, and out of all of them displayed a significant preference for whisky/whiskey 101 in total, 58 bourbon and 38 scotches amongst them. He also drinks 30 glasses of champagne, and 16 of the more traditional gin martinis to 19 vodka martinis. Rumours that he had a fondness for appletinis while in the Navy have been invented out of whole cloth for the purposes of this article.
