15 Things You Wrongly Think About Pregnancy

6. Cocoa Butter Prevents Stretch Marks

We've all seen those late-night commercials where the hottest actresses and celebrities claim that using cocoa butter during pregnancy will solve all your stretch mark woes. And while using cocoa butter certainly doesn't hurt it's far from the miracle cure it's touted to be. At this point there's no real proven way to treat stretch marks or to stop them from zigzagging their way across your body. All you can do is try your best to take care of your skin. This includes moisturizing, eating healthy (or as healthy as you can), watch your weight, and most importantly, wait it out. After delivery, stretch marks usually fade to a less noticeable (and more easily concealable) silvery gray color. Meanwhile, try to wear them with pride.
