3. Semen Can "Cure Depression"

Right, so apparently being directly exposed to semen, by ingestion or other means, can have a positive effect on your mood. Gonna go with an instinct here and guess that this study was designed by a guy (it was).
Semen contains several mood-altering hormones, including testosterone, oestrogen, luteinising hormone, prolactin and several prostaglandins. Some of which have been detected in women’s blood within hours of exposure to semen. In the study of 293 heterosexual women, the team found that the women whose partners didn't wear condoms were less prone to depression than their wrapped up counterparts.
There could well be other factors at play here, such as the effects of oral contraceptives, frequency of sexual activity, the types of relationships in which condoms aren't being used or simply the personality types that go with different contraceptive choices.
Also, please don't forgo the condoms for a bit of a boost. An STI is very much a mood killer.
