12. Al Pacino Was The Original "Face" Used By Facebook

For the first three years of Facebook's existence - including when it was "TheFacebook.com" - the company's original "face" involved a blue figure in the top-left-hand corner of the site. Featured on the website between 2004 and 2007, it was later revealed that the figure was a young Al Pacino "covered with a fog of ones and zeros - the elementary components of digital media". A major redesign saw Pacino's silhouette removed in 2007, and the so-called "Facebook guy" figure has never returned.
