17. The Hobbit Motel - New Zealand

Somewhere along the way, someone learned that people, especially bookworms, will pay any amount of money to experience in real life the magical worlds they've only read about. That's why the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is such a success, and it's why a hobbit motel exists. Because OMG you can actually stay in a hobbit hole! And what better place to have such a hotel than in New Zealand, where all of the Lord of the Rings films were shot. All of the rooms are built into the hills with round doors and windows, just as they are in JRR Tolkien's famous novels. There are wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and random animals wandering everywhere, so it really makes you feel like you're actually in the Shire.
