Rey Mysterio has put together one of the best pro wrestling careers of the last 20 years, without a doubt. The fact that he's much shorter (5'7") and lighter (175 pounds) than the average wrestler (and even those numbers are often viewed as inflated) makes his career all the more incredible. He made his debut for ECW in 1995 after six years of becoming a star in Mexico, and he has gone on to become one of the most beloved names in wrestling history. Fans realize that he isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore, especially with a lot of the injuries that he's been dealing with in recent years, but when they stop and think about the fact that he just turned 40, it tends to stop them in their tracks. Mysterio hasn't wrestled for WWE in eight months thanks to injuries and contract disputes, with no timetable for his return, if he even does come back for the company, but now that he is officially 40, people have to begin looking at the next step for him, whenever and wherever it may be.
