8. Go To A Local Coffee Shop, Rather Than A Big Chain One
Coffee is awonderful thing. It gives you energy, provides you with a delicious hot beverage to warm you on a cold winter's night, and even provides something to bond over. However, as with most commodities these days, we're used to being tempted into paying for delicious but hideously expensive coffees and hot drinks, as well as everything else that comes with it. Instead, rather than cutting out the coffee altogether - because sometimes you just need your early morning caffeine fix - why not try getting your coffee at a locally-owned establishment, rather than a big name store? Some of you may be complaining about enjoying a particular brand of bean or blend only available at your big name coffee shop. However, a surprising number of smaller and local coffee houses are expanding their range of coffee beans, as well as their pastries and nibbles, making them more than enough to rival your big name coffee shops. It might not seem like you're making much of a difference, but helping to support a local business while getting a delicious fix of your favourite beverage, that is also likely to save you money, seems like a win-win.
