Although 2020 has been a memorable year for everyone, it was especially for Edward Snowden. The former CIA employee turned NSA whistleblower has been in Russia since leaking documents that showed that the US government were spying on it's citizens.

While Snowden faced a number of charges back in his country for exposing the NSA, in September, the US Court of Appeals ruled that what the government agency did was unlawful, vindicating Snowden's actions in the process. Although he doesn't speak as much as he'd probably like too, coming onto the JRE so quickly after the court ruled in his favour must've felt like a victory lap for him.
