16. Getting Picked For An Away Game And Feeling Like Royalty

Going on tour in high school was probably some of the best times of your academic career, especially when the netballers teamed up with the rugby players. The endless attempts at flirting which you took so seriously at the time, embarrass you now. However, going on tour was never about the game. Although it was a bonus to win whenever you went away somewhere, you were more concerned with figuring out who was sleeping with whom in which room and if you were brave enough to try and sneak past your teachers to get into each other's rooms. You were a teenager and if you weren't with your friends 24/7 then your life was definitely over. You'd go back to school and have all of your inside jokes and talk about how much of a good time you had; you were basically royalty.
