6. Treat Them Like The Human They Are
This is a very important one. Working in retail can tend to de-sensitise and decrease the amount of personality that someone can show because they're the face of the company for the customer so they're not seen as individuals anymore, they're seen as corporate machines. And that is very sad, so be sure to pay extra special attention to your love interest and remind them of who they are.
