The couple sparked rumours of a relationship when they turned up together looking all cosy on the red carpet at the premiere of Farrell's 2003 film The Recruit. They were seen smooching on the balcony of Farrell's hotel room later that night but they both denied rumours of ever dating. Colin claims that he was single and looking for a good time, although it was supposedly reported that after they broke up, Farrell sent Spears a t-shirt saying "I've slept with Colin Farrell". The two no longer speak to one another. Awkward.
