3. Your Christmas Party Will Be In June

If you€™re in the pub or bar trade, you work at Christmas and New Year. Bar staff might get to decide on one over the other. However, bar managers, shift supervisors, duty managers, designated premises supervisors: whatever your title, you€™ll almost certainly be drafted to work each and every holiday that the calendar craps out. There are those that will tell you that you can celebrate Christmas at any time of the year, because Christmas is a state of mind. Bollocks. Those people haven't had to buy Christmas wrapping paper in July because the staff party can only happen in summer when trade€™s gone quiet. But ahhh. Is it a late Christmas party held over from last year€ or an early Christmas party in advance of this coming December? Ahhh. Do you see?
