6. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
Why Get Excited? Following the events of superb sequel, Catching Fire, the games are over and a revolutionary war is on the smoggy horizon as Katniss Everdeen heads home to start a ruckus in District 13. Unsurprisingly, anticipation is high for this first installment in the Mockingjay two-parter, which is more than likely going to depict the beginnings of Katniss revolution. The source material is strong - when author Suzanne Collins novel was published in 2010, critics cited amped up action and real world nous as its strong points the cast has once again been bolstered (Julianne Moore is stepping up as President Coin) and the books early skirmishes are already looking just as rough and ready as the book depicted. It also helps that Jennifer Lawrence seems to get better and better with each entry in this smart sci-fi series, too. Let the real games begin. Whens It Out?
