25 Rare Playboy Images You Have To See

Selling sexual liberation since the 1950s...

A self-made millionaire, Hugh Hefner is now believed to be worth more than £30million ($45million) - and all because he established Playboy Enterprises, showing off scantily-clad and topless women since 1953. With the Playboy magazine first launched in 1953 - and the original edition selling more than 50,000 copies due to the fact it featured Marilyn Monroe's nude calendar shoot - Hefner then went on to establish his various exclusive clubs around the world, as well as his "Playboy Mansion" in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, California. Yet the popularity of Playboy has long-since diminished, with fewer and fewer women wanting to become so-called "Bunnies", and a declining number of men buying the magazine or attending the club (partially due to the growing presence of alternatives, and partially due to the fact attitudes have changed since the mid-to-late-20th Century). Everyone has heard about or seen the likes of Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss and Paris Hilton appearing in the magazine down the years, but many rare Playboy photographs have not been so widely distributed. Pictures featuring the likes of Bruce Forsyth, Jack Charlton and a man who had only just escaped after 30 years in a jungle in the Philippines appear in the following list. So, here are 25 rare Playboy images that you must see...
