Iranian coal miners work long hours pulling in 12 hour days in very dangerous conditions and work for as little as minimum wage.

Miners move up to 100 tons of coal a day with around 1,200 miners working across 10 mines. Almost all of the coal extracted from the mines is shipped south for use in Iran’s steel industry.
