6 Hauntingly Memorable Final Social Media Updates Of The Deceased

4. Declan Sullivan

The University of Notre Dame made news in 2010 when tragedy befell a student tasked with video recording the Fighting Irish football practice. Declan Sullivan, a 20-year old junior was perched atop a 50-ft hydraulic scissor lift as strong gusts of wind in excess of 50 miles per hour raged. On the day prior, head coach Brian Kelley had held practice indoors due to similar conditions, but it was a well-known fact that he wasn€™t a fan of indoor practices and returned to the outdoor field the following day. The most common warning with the lifts is that they shouldn€™t be used during high winds €“ anything over 25 mph according to one manufacturer €“ so Declan€™s was a death that was easily preventable. Shortly before he fell to his demise, he sent out a series of tweets relating to his predicament, both of which are haunting considering his fate that day.
€œGusts of wind up to 60mph well today will be fun at work€I guess I€™ve lived long enough :-/€
And then an hour later:
€œHoly f*ck holy f*ck this is terrifying!€
