6 Stargazing Sights You Have To See

2. The Andromeda Galaxy

Dark skies are needed to spot the Andromeda galaxy. It will look very similar to a star and you might even be able to make out a hazy cloud surrounding it. The Andromeda galaxy is the most distant object visible from earth with the naked eye. It€™s so far away that the light from it reaching us is about 2.5 million years old! Andromeda isn€™t just the most distant object that can be seen with the naked eye, it€™s also the most massive. It contains roughly twice as many stars as the Milky Way! With there being so many stars in Andromeda who€™s to say there€™s not some sort of intelligent life looking back at our galaxy? Of course, if there was an intelligent being looking at our galaxy from within Andromeda they€™d be seeing it as it was 2.5 million years ago.
