6 Things You Need To Know About Universal Orlando Resort's Halloween Horror Nights 34

The 10 houses of Halloween Horror Nights aren't the only places where horror lives. Part of what makes HHN so immersive for horror fans is that even the park's streets are taken over by things that go bump in the night.

These four scare zones are located all around Universal Studios Florida. Each have large set pieces and roaming scare actors that help bring the to life the horrifying original storylines created by the team behind HHN.

The Origins of Horror

Greeting guests as they enter the park, "The Origins of Horror" brings to life the conservatory theme of this year. This zone welcomes you into the event, introducing you to all the "gargoyles, monsters, chainsaw artists" as you step into the fog.

Lora Sauls told us this creepy, gothic theme that will be taking over HHN34, and she wasn't lying. As guests enter under the iconic Halloween Horror Nights sign, the haunted conservatory theme begins instantly. The sign represents the conservatory gates, with huge stilt-walking crows ready to welcome you to HHN34.

Masquerade Dance with Death

Heading into the Hollywood section of the park, you'll find you have entered a masquerade ball. Only this party is filled with vampires ready to unmask themselves and have you for their ballroom feast!

There's elaborate zone sees a giant vampires congregate under a large chandelier, ready to welcome you to the ball.

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane

As you journey further into the park and enter the wooded Central Park area, you'll come across "The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane."  Here she houses a pet cemetery where her "rabid children-turned-felines" are not the friendly kind. 

Within this scarezone Universal have set up a huge house, where your see the Cat Lady. There's also a set piece that houses a cat or two, waiting to give you a fright.

Mutations: Toxic Twenties

The New York area of Universal Studios Florida will become the home of 1920's flappers and mobsters. A getaway car has crashed into a truck filled with rat-poison, causing mutations and "toxic pandemonium."

This scarezone is set within the Bzzzcon universe, with this time the company's rodent repellent causing huge problems for the inhabitants. See the crashed car that caused all the trouble and other elaborate set pieces, making this scare zone feel ginormous!
