The family's attorney blamed Dominos' strict delivery time policies and the wage the driver was on, saying that he was forced to rush to get to his destination and this contributed to the accident. The court agreed with this, despite Dominos filing an appeal and stating they had no control over this aspect of their business, and it remains one of the most expensive lawsuits brought against the company.
