8 Fast Food Sandwiches That Were Likely Created On A Dare

2. McRibster

The traditional McRib is one of the greatest curiosities of modern civilization. So many people order it, yet no one freely admits this. The annual, short-term arrival of the McRib is rolled out with so much gusto and advertising dollars it could be the latest Marvel film. Created primarily because of a chicken shortage, the original McRib is made of only the most disturbing cuts of "pork," like the stomach and heart. It's then processed into a loose interpretation of a slab of ribs and smothered in overly-tangy barbecue sauce to mask the taste of utter shame. But Austrians didn't think that sounded gruesome enough, so they naturally decided to deep-fry it and add some bacon and cheese. Sadly, it looks much more appetizing than its predecessor, though it may not be worth the incurring heart palpitations.
